St. Elmo's Fire

Enjoying a fire on a frozen pond under a starry sky with the most incredible person I've ever met, whose kindness, patience, and love for life inspire me every day.

Playing on the ice with vintage ice skates, which essentially amounted to stiff socks attached to metal blades.
It was an adventure.

Disaster in Haiti - How You Can Help.

Dear Friends,

On Tuesday afternoon, a 7.0 magnitude earthquake rocked Haiti, destroying much of the infrastructure including parliament buildings and major hospitals, displacing up to a third of the population, and killing up to 500,000 people.    Haiti is in the midst of a major humanitarian crisis, which will require a massive international effort to mitigate.

Please text "HAITI" to 90999 to donate $10 to the Red Cross to assist in their continued efforts to recover and treat those still trapped under the rubble left by the quake.

If you are interested in reading more about the disaster:  http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/8456819.stm

The Red Cross: http://www.redcross.org/

An amazing organisation who has set up several clinics in Haiti and is currently coordinating an effort to receive overflow patients from Port-au-Prince, Partners in Healthhttp://www.pih.org/

Both of these organisations would very much appreciate your support during this difficult time.

Thank you in advance for your support.

No winning, no losing.

Ego tends to break the flow of evolution into arbitrary distinctions. This only becomes an issue when we stop above or below a point, and contemplate our "success" or "failure," which breaks the continuity of progress either for vanity or insecurity's sake. Really, going forward is all there is, ad infinitum.

He's a Charmer.
