This weekend was filled with full-moon adventuring, flying, and sleeping outside perched atop a snowy hill. E- & I did a midnight summit of Bear Peak, climbing straight up the incredibly icy ridge, guided only by the moonlight, with just one Yak Trak each to arrest any inadvertent falls.
We were so amazed when we arrived at the summit to see thousands of twinkling lights below us. The city is so beautiful when admired from a distance, especially on a clear night. It was almost as if the dark Earth had been sprinkled with faery dust. Magic.
We were very, very cold, but happy.
There was a thin shroud of mist blanketing the sky, creating a brilliant halo around the moon the entire time we were hiking. The forest was silent except for the occasional cougar cry, which kept us on our toes. It was a beautiful experience.
I miss your face so much. Wish I were there!
